The "Left Behind" series of books was tremendously
popular and started a lot of people talking about the end times, the Rapture
and being 'left behind'. There's good
news and bad news on this subject that I'd like to share with you.
First the bad news - if you read your Bible carefully,
particularly the prophets and the writings of Paul and Peter, you will quickly
realize that at no point does the Bible actually talk about a Rapture in the
way it's currently thought and preached about. It
does say that those followers of The Way who are alive will rise to meet Christ in the clouds. However that event occurs when He returns. Not before the coming Tribulation or during it but at the
moment when Christ leaves Heaven to plant His feet on the Mount of Olives in
Jerusalem and reclaim His crown as King of the world. This means, obviously that people will not be 'left behind' to endure the Tribulation - all those living will, to one degree or another have to endure the coming Tribulation.
To many people this may come as devastating news or even a
completely new teaching yet read your Bible's carefully and you will see that
it is the truth. It is Biblical fact
that there will be no Rapture as depicted in the "Left Behind" series
of books. The world will not be thrown
into chaos and confusion by the sudden disappearance of hundreds of millions of
true believers. Nor will the world be
filled with those who have perhaps been doubtful or not yet accepted Jesus into their hearts being 'left behind' to suffer the trials of the
Tribulation on their own.
Now for the good news.
While there will be a terrible Tribulation, such as never before seen on
the Earth, and God's people will still be on the planet those who truly love
Him and follow His Ways and not the ways of men, will be protected. Those defined, by God, as His children to be
protected from the worst of the Tribulation are those who have answered His call in this
lifetime and follow His Ways. Sadly, our modern
churches rarely, if ever, truly preach the real Word of God and so people are
easily led astray.
Just remember that God looks upon the heart and judges you
accordingly. You may well be, and many of you probably
are, a member of a 'false' denomination but that doesn't mean you can't educate
yourself, led by the Holy Spirit, to God's truth and live as best as you can
according to His commands. One of God's
most basic commands, for example, which is practically ignored across the board
of religious thought, is to 'Keep the Sabbath day Holy'. The Sabbath day is the day God chose,
Saturday and not the day chosen by man, Sunday.
Very few churches today even tell the truth about the Sabbath and God's
requirement that we keep it as a Holy Day. Once you know, and have proven this to be true through study, prayer and meditation, then it is your responsibility to find a congregation somewhere that does worship on Saturdays so that you are able to keep God's Truth as He reveals it to you.
In the Book of Revelation God calls the Church 'Israel',
meaning the spiritual Israel of all races who now make up His chosen
people. The physical nation of Israel broke their covenant with God and so He divorced them to create a new 'chosen people' - those called to Him in this
lifetime who respond to their calling. And it is important to
remember, that for reasons known only to God, while He is calling all people to
Him, not everyone will respond to His call in this lifetime.
That does not mean that those people who do not respond in this lifetime are
doomed to eternal damnation. God tells
us that hundreds of millions will be converted to His ways during the
Tribulation - the 'great multitude' mentioned in the Book of Revelation that comes out of the Tribulation. Furthermore God offers a millennium of time, after the return of Christ, for all other people, from Adam and Eve to the last soul born, to be taught His
truth and to follow His ways.
The spiritual Israel living during the time of the Great
Tribulation will be protected from Satan's wrath and the opening of the Seals
by supernatural means. In the Book of
Revelation God describes this as a woman, which we know means a church in
Biblical prophecy, being taken, on the wings of an eagle, into the desert where
she can give birth safely. This alludes
both to God's protection of the earthly birth of Jesus Christ through his human
mother Mary as well as the end time church being protected and being the seed
of the soon coming Kingdom of God, or 'giving birth' to the Kingdom.
Much of this teaching will likely seem strange and new to
many of you who may be reading these posts, yet if you study your own Bibles carefully you will find that my words
are true. I speak not from my own
understanding but only from the enlightenment I've received over the years from
God through His Holy Spirit. Open your
heart and your mind and you will see the same truth written in the pages of
your own family Bible.
In loving peace,
Tracey
